Information we may collect from you

As a visitor to our site, we may collect and process any personal information that you voluntarily submit to us through the site. This may include, for example, online correspondence that you send to us about our products and services, as well as your contact details so that we may contact you for support, marketing or other purposes. If you register for online banking services, we will also collect details of your username, password and security questions when you log in to your online account.

We may share your information with our related entities and service providers acting on our behalf in connection with the purposes described in this policy, including Kent Reliance Provident Society Limited (“krps”), a subsidiary of Kent Reliance or krps or a company treated as a subsidiary of Kent Reliance or krps (the “Kent Reliance Group”).

We may also disclose your details where required to do so by law, as well as to any successors in title to our business. Finally, we may share your information with third parties (including law enforcement agencies) to protect both ourselves and our customers against theft or fraud, and with anyone you appoint to administer/operate your account on your behalf.

Secure online banking services

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the information we collect and process about you, and our online banking services are provided using secure servers. In particular when you access our online banking services, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software to encrypt the information you transmit in order to protect your security.

Please note, however, that no Internet transmission can ever be guaranteed 100% secure. We recommend that you install, use and maintain up-to-date anti-virus, firewall and anti-spyware software on your computer to better protect yourself. 

We also recommend that you take care to log out of your account at the end of an online banking session and never leave your computer unattended when logged in.

International transfers

From time to time, we may transfer your information to third party service providers or to businesses within the Kent Reliance Group that are based in territories located outside of the European Economic Area("EEA"). We will only transfer your information to recipients outside of the EEA for the purposes described in this privacy policy.

Whilst the laws of some territories outside of the EEA offer lower standards of data protection than those within the EEA, Kent Reliance has taken measures to ensure that your information will only ever be used and protected in accordance with this privacy policy.
